The phenomenal journey of the group dates back to 1999, when with just 22 students and an unwavering commitment to quality education, the foundations of the University were laid.
SRMU is a confluence of academic, cultural and intellectual resources and seeks to achieve the highest levels of distinction in the innovation and transmission of knowledge and understanding. Eleven institutes offer a wide spectrum of choice for the students to choose undergraduate, post graduate and Doctoral programs in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science & Computer Applications), Biotechnology & Bio-Sciences, Management, Commerce & Economics, Journalism & Mass Communication, Legal studies, Basic Sciences and Humanities, Education & Research, Agriculture, Pharmacy and Architecture.

In order to chisel competent industry-ready professionals, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU) provides a veritable pool of resources, which help students in multi-faceted development. A basket of programs in a broad spectrum of disciplines are available from the undergraduate level to research. For a complete educational experience, an SRMU student undergoes industrial visits, industry specific trainings, practical exposure to a subject through laboratory work, guest lectures by experts, innovative pedagogy and a thorough study evaluation system. An Incubation centre has also been established to nurture entrepreneurs who can be ‘job creators’.
The serene and beautiful ambience of the University is conducive for quality education. Students are encouraged to be a part of various co-curricular activities and events of the University. Keeping the overall student development in mind, the University provides various assistive programs for its students so that they can get good placements. University outreach involves Corporate Social Responsibility projects like Apni Pathshala-a free education system for the underprivileged children, National Social Service (NSS), and National Cadets Corps (NCC). The university also provides a host of scholarship for deserving students to motivate, support and encourage them.

At SRMU we aim to create a university where true knowledge becomes the propeller of growth for our students, so that they may stand at ease with the best in the world and also ensure that India claims its rightful place among developed nations. Based on this thought we have designed a curriculum that is a perfect blend of academic and extracurricular activities. The result is that we at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group feel proud to have more than 30,000 Alumni well placed across the globe. This is a small way in which we are trying to fuel the growth engine of our nation and provide best of the resources in different corporate houses. Thus we are committed to provide the right ambience and environment to all students for unleashing their full potential and helping them reach glorious heights of professional excellence. SRMU has an integrated and dedicated Training and Placement Department which is working continuously on the DREAMS and ASPIRATIONS of the students and turning them in REALITY.
Placement is the most important evaluation criteria for a university in the minds of the students and their parents. At SRMU, the placement department has set six goals for students as we believe that training and student's development is a continuous process and placement is its culmination.
Goal One: TO CREATE CORPORATE READY PROFESSIONALS. This is done by providing a space where the students can explore the real world and gain hands-on experience. At SRMU, we work on continuous refinement of syllabus in tune with demands of industry.
Goal Two: TO BUILD STRONG RELATIONS WITH INDUSTRY STALWARTS. We maintain a regular and close contact with our recruiters and other top companies. The same is ensured by organizing HR conclaves and corporate meets on a regular basis. Besides this our focus is on meaningful research & consultancy involving students which benefits industry.
Goal Three: TO PROMOTING A GLOBAL OUTLOOK. Broadly developing an appreciation in our students for the cultural and social dimensions of the global environment viz. a viz. business, technology, research and development.
Goal Four: TO BUILD AN INDUSTRY INTERFACE. It is ensured by hosting guest lectures, conducting industrial visits, providing workshops, collaborations for research and providing industrial training to our students.
Goal Five: TO PROVIDE 100% PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE. Our Complete Career Building Programme (CCBP) works throughout the year to enhance the employability of the students and to provide them a winning edge over others. The key focus areas in student's development are English communication, Computer skills, Group Discussion Techniques, Mock personal interviews (PIs), subject knowledge and confidence building.
